'Padharo mare des'

Art,culture,royality...these are the few terms which come to our mind when we hear the name "Rajasthan"-the land of rajas! When you go there you will indeed feel like a king after recieving the hospitality of the natives there whose hearts are as big as the name Rajasthan.
The trip to Rajasthan is very close to my heart as it was the first trip with my family which i actually remember well.
Starting the trip with the capital city is mandatory obviously i.e The pink city-Jaipur. It was a cold winter night when we checked into a 3 star hotel of Jaipur.I don't remember the name of the hotel the only thing i remember is that i was happy as we were staying in a star hotel and then i could brag about it in front of my friends.
We started our trip with a local tour of Jaipur. We went to Amber fort the residence of the Rajput maharjas,Jal mahal and few other historic places. The majestic buildings and palaces were fascinating and one could imagine what a royal lives these rajputs had.

The place which i loved the most in Jaipur is Chokhi Dhani If the duration of your trip is short, this is the best place i would suggest you to go as you can take a glimpse of the whole rajasthani culture at a single place. There were folk dances, puppet shows, magic shows and the best part was the royal

traditional rajasthani food. There were 21 authentic dishes which was flattering enough for a foodie like me.
After spending a couple of days in Jaipur we went to pushkar to the famous Brahma temple and the Ajmer dargah. There was a whole colony of beggars and thieves outside the dargah you should be really careful otherwiswe you won't  be left with any money to go back home!
After a night stay at Jodhpur we headed to Jaisalmer the following day. I remember everything precisely about the boutique hotel"ROSEVILLA" which we stayed in.The pink coloured bedspreads embedded with small diamond mirrors, the madhubani paintings and the royal decoration made me feel lika a princess .The managers were very polite and arranged a van tp dessert. There we went for an amazing camel safari followed by local dance performances in the camps.I remember how i enjoyed the warmth of the bonfire watching sunset.I would definitely love to go there again .
